Annual Fundraising Breakfast

Mequon/Thiensville PPI announces their annual Fundraising Breakfast which will take place on Friday, February 27th, 2009 at the Four Points Sheraton, 8900 North Kildeer Court, Brown Deer. The social and raffle will be held at 8:45 am, followed by the breakfast and speaker at 9:00. The cost is $35.00 and reservations are required.

The featured speaker, Joe Kessler, is both Comedian and Youth Communicator, and will speak on the theme: "Becoming a Person of Positive Influence in the life of your child." Mr. Kessler serves as the Director of Youth Alive, and works with middle and high school students on the public school campus through a program called "The Seven Project." This multimedia program was presented to Ozaukee County students in October 2008, during observation of Red Ribbon Week.

Mr. Kessler has traveled the country speaking to students, motivating them to reach their fullest potential and dreams. Parents can positively influence their children to take paths that lead to successful lives and hopeful futures. Join us and learn how to Positively Influence your Child! Donations for M/T PPI Fundraising Breakfast needed!!

Donations of Items to Publicity and Raffle are needed! Should businesses desire to contribute items or gift certificates, please contact Ellen Benson at 262-240-0130. Items from individuals are also accepted. Participating Business will be publicized with in the PPI Network Directory and Program. All proceeds will fund school speakers and PPI programs within the Mequon-Thiensville School District.

Mequon/Thiensville PPI has been in existence since 1982, promoting a mission of education, motivation, and mobilization of Parents to implement strategies that promote a healthy lifestyle for their children, free of alcohol, tobacco and drugs. Proceeds from this fundraiser will support PPI Programs in the Mequon-Thiensville School District, providing speakers, throughout the year, who will stress healthy lifestyles and choices. PPI Programs include Red Ribbon week observance, Drug Awareness Nights, Student Awards, PPI Network Directory, elementary and middle school "Fun Nights," HHS Post Prom, and the promotion of the "40 Developmental Assets" as identified by the Search Institute. These assets are building blocks of healthy development that help young people grow up healthy, caring and responsible individuals.
